I believe Usman is the future of spin bowling in Pakistan.. even if he's half as good as his father, he will do great.. anyone's better than Kaneria.

Can u pls activate email notification so that the commenters can follow the thread.

I wouldn't exaggerate that much but what he said about Kaneria was very wise and thoughtful ! This shows he has a wise head on his shoulders which is required by a legspinner.

Here is the bit I'm emphasising upon ..

PakPassion.Net: Has your dad worked with Kaneria and as a legspinner yourself what do you think he can do to improve his bowling?

Usman Qadir: Actually I dont know if my dad has worked with him. As for my opinion, I think that he doesn't bowl with a cool mind and he rushes through his overs too fast. He doesnt give himself any time to plan between deliveries and more importantly he doesnt make the batsman wait. The more a legspinner makes a batsman wait the more time the batsman has to plan and think about the next delivery, this creates indecision in the batsman's mind. If you dont give the batsman time to think then he plays on instinct and that removes his indecision about what shot to play which is how a legspinner gets his wickets.

He has the same motivation and ambitious personality as Kaneria but somehow sounds more skilful and mindful.

Nevertheless actions speak louder then words so lets see him bowl before judging.

I was talking to Hamza recently and he was telling me all about Imran Tahir and how outstanding he can be with the ball . He reckons he will play for RSA soon and come as a handful of skill and mystery.

As regards to England’s spin future I reckon the two AR’s hold the future. Certainly Mushy shall be a key helpful figure in their upbringing.
